Comment About 2007 Post About 2001 Newsletter Article on: Debunking Learning Styles

Pursuing Performance sometimes involves the pursuit of invalid practices – meaning: discovering and tracking them down to dispute/debunk them publically. It is as valuable an activity as promoting and sharing with (not teasing) you the valid practices.

Learning and Sharing about Learning and Sharing is a collaborative effort.

We all stand on the shoulders of others – at times – enabling us to “up our game” and rise above the challenges we face.

And at other times some of those “others” stand on our shoulders to keep us from rising – to keep us down – to not enable but to disable us – sometimes inadvertently and sometimes not.

 The referenced newsletter – and all others going back to 1986 – are now housed on this site – and that Summer of 2001 issue is here. Although – please accept my apologies – this is the only copy I can find of this issue – and it is in a format for printing on 11×17 paper, 2-sided, so navigating the pages to follow any one article – can/will be a challenge. Sorry.

Whose shoulders to stand on? One of my personal favorites is Dick Clark (Richard E. Clark, PhD)…although there are many – really lots more than many come to think about that again…

You can search for some other lessons learned (by me from him) elsewhere on this Blog – as I stand on his shoulders and share with you what I am learning from a fairly carefully selected crowd.
