Video:The Geary A. Rummler Tribute at ISPI 2009

Pronounced: Gear-ee: Geary (not Gary).

I just finished the editing and post-production of this video 2 days ago. The video is just over 1:55 hours:minutes.

This was – as they say – a labor of love for me. Geary was one of my mentors starting back before I actually met him when I went to work for the Training Services department of Wickes Lumber in Saginaw Michigan in August of 1979 where I worked alongside his bother-in-law Roger Varney and two people who had worked with his brother Rick Rummler back at the “the Blues” (Blue Cross Blue Shield) in Detroit, Karen Kennedy and Gail Tornga. I then met Geary 8 months later at the NSPI Conference in April 1980 in Dallas. One year after that I went to work for Bill Wiggenhorn at Motorola’s Training & Education Center (MTEC) where I got to work on many projects with both Geary and Carol Panza.

But enough about me.

I think I will do a separate post and video tribute about Geary. This little project has stirred up a lot of memories for me. Good ones. Very good ones.

But wait! There’s more!

Video of Geary at MTEC in April 1981 (he gave me permission to post this; I was there 1 week before my start date at MTEC to sit in on this session) is here. 45 minutes

Video of Geary – one of my 55+ HPT Practitioner and HPT Legacy Video Podcast Series – here. 5:23 (minutes:seconds)
