Simulation Exercises Don’t Always Require a Computer

Simulating Complex Performance

Here is a write up for one of my first really big Simulation Exercises. Product Planners and Managers needed to learn how to run Product Team Meetings throughout the product life cycle (cradle to grave) with changing foci and challenges – with a Cross Functional Team of people who did not report to them – and produce a Product Plan – which was a combination of a Marketing Plan, Financial Plan, Engineering Plan, Manufacturing Plan, Sales Plan and Service Plan – just to keep it simple for the Learning purposes of the 8-day course that this was taught in.

In the real world, it was much more complex.
