The Good and Bad of Routines

Routines Can Be Either Good Or Bad

Routines take discipline.

Blind discipline can lead to being in a routine rut – and that’s not good.

Open discipline can lead to routine improvements – and that is good.

As Continuous Improvement is good.

Blind Discipline

You “do it” because that’s what you do.

You are on auto-pilot – and probably don’t see any need or opportunity for improvement.

Open Discipline

You “do it” because that’s what you need to do.

But you try not to be on auto-pilot – and try “all of the time” to see any need and opportunity for improvement. Continuous improvement.

Which Describes you?

And, is that appropriate?

What are the consequences for you – and others?
