Overcoming Resistance to Change

It is tough. Really tough.

It’s tougher if you start communications stuff about the change – after the fact.

You’re better off getting everyone who is to be involved AFTER the FACT – involved BEFORE the FACT.

Back in the Day – in 2001 – I was asked by Pierre Mourier to review his and Martin Smith’s book on Change.

I said yes. And unlike other books I have been asked to review – I read it cover to cover.

Just so you know – most of the time one is given a summary of the book, and asked to write a review from that.

This is Their Book

These Are Their 10 Change Tactics

All of this, all of their book, really resonated with me.

By 2001 I had been involved in more than 2 decades worth of changes, designing them, supporting them, etc., and this is how I wished I had framed what was necessary.

The Back Cover

It was a great honor to share the back cover with my key mentor, Geary A. Rummler, in providing our reviews.
