What is the Role of Quality in Improving Public Education in Any Nation?

Do you see a correlation between the quality of education in your country and the young people entering the workforce? Does your culture celebrate success or is any attempt considered “good enough”? And finally, what is the role of quality in improving public education in any nation?

Here’s What I Think

Do you see a correlation between the quality of education in your country and the young people entering the workforce?

  • As they represent the products of the educational processes, yes. And there is tremendous variance.

Does your culture celebrate success or is any attempt considered “good enough”?

  • This is mixed in my limited experience, given the numbers involved.

And finally, what is the role of quality in improving public education in any nation?

  • Providing Tools and Techniques to be Adopted or Adapted to:
    • Define all Stakeholders and their Requirements
    • Set Goals and Measures
    • Design Processes that will meet Stakeholder Requirements
    • Determine and Deploy the Resources
    • Measure and Monitor
    • Continuous Improvement

Quality has proven tools and techniques that can be adapted to meet any situation, enterprise, function and department or team.
