One of my key mentors, Geary A. Rummler, passed away 6 years ago today, October 29, 2008.
It’s tough thinking about all that I learned from him – and could continue to do so – if he were still around.
I’m sure many feel the same. Geary touched and taught many people.
Above – I sit with the good doctor in my former boss’ offices in Phoenix – in 1982. Back in the day.
Here is a Blog Post from 2009 – just after Geary passed away.
Photos from a Working Session with Dr. Rummler in 1982.
Here is a short video interview I did with him in 2008…
Rummler – HPT Practitioner Series
Video is 5:23 min:sec in length.
Rummler at MTEC – 1981
Here is a video of a session he did in 1981 at Motorola – that I attended.
Here are a couple of additional videos:
Geary Rummler on Performance Engineering – 1986

And…
The late Geary Rummler – We Can’t Get There From Here (1967)
And…
Here – at the PDL – Performance Design Lab – are some Geary Rummler resources for you – here.
And – you can search on “Rummler” on this site for many other Blog Posts – and a couple of articles Geary published with my former Quarterly Newsletter: Pursuing Performance back in the 1990s/2000s.
Enjoy!
And to my late mentor … RIP.
And many thanks.
