The analysis methods we used at Svenson & Wallace Inc. back in the 1980s – came mostly from the analysis methods I had learned at Wickes Lumber in 1979 … the use of a Performance Model (a.k.a: Job Model) and Knowledge/Skill Matrices (which captured the enabler data).
We studied Top Performers – which became Master Performers – which is known by many other labels – but SME is not one I prefer for what I call Master Performers.
The “data logic graphic” in the next graphic below – was designed by me for a project back in 1983 … and was also used in our September 1984 article in TRAINING Magazine.
It’s all about the ROI.
