And of course – a systems view would require being able to see how one process affects all others – and how other systems affects this system. It’s complicated.

What ID is going to determine the Root Cause of a Performance Issue – varied thickness across the width of the sheet – is in the machinery mechanics of one set of rollers – in a Flat Rolled Process for aluminum products – 3 stages upstream from where the thickness issue is first discovered?

It may take a team to diagnose the issue – and another to design a solution set.
