I used Master Performers – people doing the target performance to a level of Mastery.  And Others as the situation allowed for.

Master Performers who were current in their mastery.

Other SMEs who knew aspects in depth and/or the chnages coming.

Managers and Supervisors who knew how the Performance fit into the big picture.

And Novice Performers who had recently been there and done that regarding entering the job and learning what was expected – and knew what the immediate survival skills were.
