How would you define what a learning culture is Guy W Wallace?
My response – on LinkedIn:
I’d use the 5 points that Senge wrote about in “The 5th Discipline” (see this link).
But my own definition would include:
“a Learning Culture would be a demonstrated openness and demand for learning and sharing across the enterprise and the existence and use of infrastructure, policies, processes and practices to enable that, from all internal and external sources feasible”
Clunky, but that’s my first shot.
In that, L&D/T&D is an enabler, not the leader/champion.
I believe that a Learning Culture comes about because it is demanded and reinforced Top-Down.
