Tasks versus Topics
I had several conversations about this notion:
Tasks with Performance Validity versus Topics with Face Validity.
Topics may be a means to the ends of Task Performance – for sure.
But if those presenting Topics don’t have a clear view of the terminal Performance – the Tasks needed to produce Outputs to Stakeholder Requirements – then whatever is delivered/made available – will probably not transfer back to the job and positively impact Performance Competence.
And that leads to squandering shareholder equity. Not a good thing.
Just as addressing Performance better left to Informal means is not a good thing…
