Go For Effectiveness First – Efficiency Second in Enterprise L&D

What good is efficiency in L&D if it’s not effective?

I measure L&D’s Effectiveness in terms of the Learners’ Performance Competence – back on the job – by the Stakeholders’ Requirements as the Measuring Sticks.

Once you have that being accomplished Effectively, you might shift your attention to Efficiency and “How to Make that Performance Competence Happen Better, Faster, and Cheaper,” depending on the costs to be incurred versus the benefits to be obtained from those Efficiency efforts. Sometimes it is worth it – and othertimes not so much.
