PACT Practitioner Role Overview
The PACT Lead Developer is responsible for leading the Development Team, in MCD and IAD efforts, in the micro-project planning of “Lesson Assignments” and the creation of the Performance Support and Instructional Content – the modular Events – while maintaining modular integrity.
This “role” also leads the Pilot-Testing efforts and the subsequent “Revision & Release” efforts of an MCD effort.
List of Task Responsibilities to Master
The PACT Lead Developer is responsible for the following tasks:
- Reviewing the Analysis Report and MCD Design Document data
- Preparing for the MCD Development Team Kick-Off Meeting
- Conducting the MCD Development Team Kick-Off Meeting
- Developing the Performance Support and Instructional Content per the MCD Design Document
- Preparing all of the materials for the Pilot Test Session
- Attending the Pilot Test Session to observe and conduct (or observe) the Daily Debriefings and Lesson Evaluations
- Prepare the Pilot Test Revision Recommendations
- Contributing to the development of the Project Steering Team Gate Review Meeting materials
- Co-Presenting at the Project Steering Team Gate Review Meeting
- Updating the Performance Support and Instructional Content as needed
PACT Lead Developers Perform in MCD/IAD Efforts

PLD Outputs
PLD Outputs are Instructional and Information Content, and include Performance Support (a.k.a.: Guidance or Job Aids or Performance Aids).

They are formatted per the modes and media determined in the MCD Design Team Meeting.
The Mode of delivery/deployment can include:
- Group Paced
- Self Paced
- Coached (or Mentored)
And each Mode can include the use of the following types of Media:
- Word Documents/PDFs
- PowerPoint Decks/PDFs
- Video Podcasts
- Audio Podcasts
- Interactive Online Tools or Apps
These are used within “a Lesson” for delivery of:
- Information (INFOs)
- Demonstration (DEMOs)
- Application Exercises (APPOs)
