Examples of PMD Outputs
Note: TMC – The Most Convenient Stores – or just TMC – is one of my Case Companies used in T&D sessions for PACT Practitioners.
T&D Event Map – of Lessons
A T&D Event is a modular “deliverable” of any mode and media. An Event is equivalent to a Course or Workshop – and may be conducted all at one or over time in segments (per the design).
The T&D Event is composed of modular Lessons.
T&D Lesson Maps – of Instructional Activities
The T&D Lesson Map – of Instructional Activities – is the heart of MCD Design – and this is where all of the Analysis data ends up in the MCD Design Team Meeting process – until further sorted and used in the next level of design: Instructional Activity design.
Each modular Instructional Activity in the Lesson Map – be it an INFO or a DEMO or an APPO (Application Exercise) is further defined – beyond the initial Analysis data – in an Activity Spec – see that next.
Instructional Activity Specifications
The Activity Spec further details – beyond the Analysis data used to form the Lesson Maps – and identifies the nature of the Activity – plus the ideal Master Performers and SMEs plus existing resources to be used in Development efforts – plus clearly defines the outputs/deliverables expected of the to-be-assigned Developers.
Note: Besides the Instructional Activities there are Administrative Activities – Opens and Closes to each Lesson – on the Lesson Map – and these too are defined in a similar format for completion by the MCD Designer(s).
These 3 levels of Modular Curriculum Design – MCD – are the key inputs handed-off to the Development Team or Developer – and the identified Master Performers and SMEs, as needed – plus the original Analysis data.
