The 5 Methodology-sets of The PACT Processes

The PACT Processes for T&D/ Learning/ Knowledge Management has 3 levels of ISD – Instructional Systems Design with a common approach to Analysis and Project Planning & Management.

Curriculum Architecture Design – produces a performance-based Training & Development Path and Individual Planning Guide rationalizing existing content and identifying all gaps from the ideal for prioritization and resourcing post-CAD effort.

Modular Curriculum Development – produces performance-based Instruction and Information designed to better enable performance and create sharable content. MCD is the ADDIE-like level of PACT.

Instructional Activity Development – produces performance-based Instructional components such as Performance Tests, job aids, demonstration, etc.

Analysis – the PACT Analysis methods produces data for design, including 4 types: Target Audience data, Performance data, enabling Knowledge/Skills data and Existing Training Assessments for their reuse potential.

Project Planning & Management – provides common methods and tools for project planning and management.

PACT is covered extensively in Guy Wallace’s award winning book: lean-ISD.
