Way Too Many ISD Functions Aren’t Even Focused on Terminal Performance
And are focused on Topics vs Tasks & Outputs. They shouldn’t be thinking about how to take on other roles. Management’s roles. Or HR’s. Or Quality’s. Etc.
Make sure you are doing Instruction/ T&D/ L&D/ LDX/ … whatever … and are achieving Measured Results before you venture forth into uncharted territory.
Unless, of course, your clients are asking you to.
Most likely you’ll need to figure out HOW TO collaborate with others – and play nice in their sandbox … or the Enterprise sandbox … so to speak.
Performance is WAY COMPLEX.
Don’t go forth into THAT world thinking otherwise.
