What kind of learning do I prefer?

I prefer effective and efficient performance-based Instruction that is as short as possible and as long as necessary, deployed/accessible using modes & media conducive to what is to be learned, and how/when/where I might possibly use it.

Oh, and I don’t want to have to memorize a damn thing UNLESS the Performance Context demands a Memorized Performance Response. Then I want enough Practice w/ Feedback to build my confidence and help me with Transfer and Impact Back-to-the-Job.

If the Performance Context allows a Referenced Performance Response – then I want a Job Aid/Performance Support that is as short as possible and as long as necessary that’s also embedded in the WorkFlow when possible or just so-damn-easy-peasy to find on-demand when I need it.

And … I want OnBoarding to ramp up new people effectively, and OnGoing Development to address changes in my job and to help prepare me for my career advancement aspirations.

And … I want Spaced Learning to keep what is demanded by the Performance Context to be available on demand, as a Memorized Performance Response – available – on-demand.

And … I want the Performance Back-on-the-Job for Low-to-Medium Rewards & Risks left to Informal & Social Means.

And … I want Volatile Content packaged in such a way to reduce the overall Life Cycle Costs.
